It's a simple concept, really:
- All Tri trains individuals
to complete an endurance athletic event (such as a triathlon or marathon).
- All Tri then
coaches these individuals to also use their goal-oriented fitness plans to
raise money for the causes of their choice.
So,
All Tri helps people get fit as it nurtures new fundraisers for a wide range
of charities.
Recognized by the U.S. Internal
Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) public charity, All Tri was organized in the
fall of 2008 after a handful of volunteers participated in a similar triathlon
training program for a national health charity. These volunteers saw an opportunity
to expand the philanthropy+fitness model to allow participants to train on behalf
of any cause.
Initially,
All Tri's focus was — as you can tell from its name — triathlon
training. Not even a year old, the volunteer-powered organization has already
extended its reach to include marathon training.
In its first outing in the spring of 2009, All Tri inspired and prepared 22
novices and experienced athletes to complete a triathlon and helped them raise
more than $70,000 for 17 different charities.
You
can help All Tri expand its fitness+philanthropy mission with a tax-deductible
donation.
Help us ... help them ...
help the organizations ... that help so many people. In the first half of 2009,
every dollar donated directly to All Tri generated six dollars
for another worthy cause.
